About Us

Peninsula Art Foundation (PAF) was founded late 2021 by sculptor Ruth Waters and visual artist Stephen Seymour to further Ruth's vision and mission to establish a permanent Culture and Arts Center in San Mateo County, focusing on the North Peninsula. This would be Ruth's last effort towards seeing her dream come true. Ruth passed on June 13th after more than half a century creating, teaching and advocating for the arts community in San Mateo County and beyond.

The Peninsula Art Foundation and Stephen are pursuing Ruth's dream and legacy through their actions. Today PAF is bringing focus to this vision. They established Art Zone October, 2021 at The Shops at Tanforan as a response to the community's need for affordable artist space, art classes, receptions and events. 

The Foundation is seeking help from Individual Contributors, Family Foundations, Corporate Foundations, Non-Profit and For Profit organizations that support their vision of creating a permanent culture and arts center for the north peninsula community.  If you want to join our movement please contact us at artpenfoundation@gmail.com

Artist Receptions

Event Space Available for Gallery, Non-Profit, Corporate, and Community Events

We have 3 spaces to consider based on individual needs, type of event and number of attendees. Event space is rented as is. The Host is responsible for all planning, communication, set-up and clean-up. Contact us at artpenfoundation@gmail.com for available dates and cost.
